School of Nursing Joins Association for Leadership Science in Nursing

(May 7, 2025) — Georgetown’s School of Nursing announces its membership in the Association for Leadership Science in Nursing (ALSN), complementing the school’s growing focus on leadership development.
“We are excited to welcome Georgetown University School of Nursing as an organizational member of ALSN,” said Heather Nelson-Brantley, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, CNE, president of ALSN. “Along with our other organizational members, including Case Western Reserve University, Rush University, and University of Iowa, Georgetown is now a key partner, and we are thrilled to have Dr. Davis and the DNP faculty join us in our quest to advance leadership science and excellence in nursing education, executive nursing practice, and scholarship.”
ALSN was created to foster collegial relationships and intellectual exchange among nurse educators focused on nursing administration at the graduate-level. Its diverse membership includes nurse scientists, scholar-practitioners, and educators committed to shaping the future of healthcare through evidence-based leadership. ALSN’s mission and vision are rooted in advancing the science of nursing leadership and driving quality outcomes for all people.
The school’s membership with ALSN was made possible through the support of Jennifer Couvillon, (NHS’96, MSN’97), MSN, PhD, a member of the School of Nursing Dean’s Advisory Council.
