All Degree Programs

The Berkley School of Nursing offers degree-granting programs at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels. Our on-campus and distance-based, online nursing programs emphasize research and scholarship and are grounded in a social justice framework. Our commitment to nursing is infused with the Jesuit values of caring for the whole person — cura personalis — and serving the common good.

Master’s Programs

Graduate programs at the Berkley School of Nursing are geared toward prospective students who have broad academic interests in an MS-Nursing degree. We offer an on-campus Entry to Nursing Program as well as several distance-based, online program options.

Doctoral Programs

The Berkley School of Nursing currently offers the Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP), the Post-Bachelor’s (BSN) Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), the Post-Master’s (MS) Executive Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), and the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing. Earning a doctoral degree in nursing allows advanced nursing professionals to reach the top of their field and improve health on a broader scale.

A comprehensive review of U.S. research led by Berkley School of Nursing faculty finds that care delivered by certified nurse-midwives and certified midwives is consistently associated with lower intervention rates, improved birth outcomes, and high patient satisfaction compared to traditional physician care.
