The Georgetown University School of Nursing bears the following accreditations:
The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Accreditation in Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD). ANCC NCPD Accreditation demonstrates an organization’s commitment to the growth and development of the nursing workforce. Organizations with the ANCC NCPD Accreditation marks promote the highest standards for nursing and are leaders in quality and nursing excellence.
The Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Master’s Degree in Nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice and post-graduate APRN certificate program at Georgetown University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
The Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice Program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.

- We want to hear from you! The NM/WHNP Program will be reviewed by ACME for reaccreditation on March 20-22, 2023. ACME is inviting submission of opinions and experiences as they relate to the program’s qualifications and/or performance through written third-party comments.
- Written comments may be submitted on the ACME Third-Party Comments form and sent to Angela Smith, ACME Executive Director, at acme@acnm.org, or via postal mail to ACME/Attn: Angela Smith at 8403 Colesville Rd., Suite 1230, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
- Comments can be submitted prior to the site visit date (March 20-22, 2023) or 45 days before the Board of Review meeting (July 2023).
- The Midwifery Program at Georgetown University School of Nursing has provided enrollment, graduation, and attrition data in the program’s programmatic outcomes document here.
