The inaugural seven DNP-prepared nurse executives will provide their expertise by offering contributions to the program through lectures for Executive DNP courses, exclusive talks for the broader DNP learning community (including faculty, preceptors, and alumni), and focused mentoring for exceptional Executive DNP students.

The addition of the Nurse Executives in Residence to the DNP faculty aligns with the redefined focus for the DNP program and a shift in the program’s name to the Executive Doctor of Nursing Practice in Health Systems Leadership and Policy.

The program is designed for nurses who hold a relevant graduate degree, are currently practicing in an advanced nursing role, and who aim to advance their careers in nursing leadership, policy and advocacy. In addition to exclusive access to the Georgetown Nurse Executives in Residence, the Executive DNP program also now features executive coaching to enhance leadership development and interpersonal effectiveness.

“It is my vision that Georgetown’s Executive Doctor of Nursing Practice in Health Systems Leadership and Policy will be the program of choice for nurses who aspire to lead transformational change in practice and healthcare systems and through shaping health policy,” Davis says.
