Students at all academic levels have opportunities to pursue research projects. They may assist faculty members with their research, conduct research of their own, present their findings, and publish their scholarship.

To Take the Pulse of Violent Trauma, Nurse Transfers from the Trauma Bay to the Classroom
This fall, Kenyatta Hazlewood (G’28) began her PhD in nursing to deepen her commitment to trauma prevention and intervention efforts and advance health equity through research. Her start was facilitated by the Patrick Healy Graduate Fellowship, a merit-based program that supports students who may not otherwise be able to pursue a PhD.

Georgetown Sweeps BIG EAST Undergraduate Symposium
Three Georgetown University students, including a School of Nursing student, took home the three top prizes at the 2025 BIG EAST Undergraduate Research Poster Symposium held at Madison Square Garden in New York City on March 15. Claire Auslander (N’26), a junior in the BSN program, placed with her research presentation titled “Examining the Relationship Between State Religiosity and Contraceptive Policy.”
