Georgetown Berkley Nurses Honored by NPWH

(October 2, 2025) — The National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH) honored two members of the Berkley School of Nursing at its 28th Annual Women’s Healthcare Conference in Las Vegas.

Ella Heitzler, PhD, WHNP-BC, FNP-BC, RNC-OB, FNPWH, and Gina Fullbright, DNP, WHNP-BC, received NPWH Inspiration Awards in Women’s Health.

These awards recognize Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners (WHNPs) whose leadership, innovation and dedication have advanced women’s and gender-related health care. Heitzler, an associate professor of nursing at Georgetown, was recognized for excellence in education. Fullbright, an adjunct faculty member, was recognized for excellence in practice.

She not only broke access barriers but also transformed the clinical care model for impacted patients.”
