Dr. Candice Nemec is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Director for the Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Program at Georgetown University. She is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at the University of Maryland Medical Center’s R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where she also serves on the STC GO Team providing advanced prehospital resuscitation. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Anesthesia Practice from Georgetown University, completing diverse clinical rotations across major trauma, academic, and community hospitals.
In a commitment to improving patient safety and interdisciplinary communication in the field of anesthesia, her research on standardized intraoperative handoff tools was published in the AANA Journal in April 2023. As an active member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, Candice stays engaged in professional development through national conferences, as well as STC GO Team training missions with local and regional prehospital providers.
