School of Nursing Students Support Community at Annual Flu Clinics
(October 16, 2024) — Georgetown nursing students inoculated more than 1,140 Georgetown students against the flu at two on-campus clinics in September and October.
The students from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program continued a long tradition of administering annual flu vaccinations to fellow Hoyas each fall.
For most adults, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends vaccination in September or October. According to the CDC, during the 2023-2024 flu season, more than 44,900 people are estimated to have died from flu complications.
