Kenneth Frese, DNP, RN, ACNS-BC, NPD-BC is an Assistant Professor at Georgetown University and serves as Clinical Faculty Coordinator for Undergraduate Studies and Masters Entry Programs at the Berkley School of Nursing. He joined the School of Nursing in January 2026. He completed his Doctorate of Nursing Practice at George Mason University with dual focus in Education and Administration. His research interests include effective transition to practice, professional identity in Nursing, and the effects of these factors on career longevity. He also earned an MSN in Advanced Clinical Practice from George Mason, an ADN from Northern Virginia Community College, and LPN from the Prince William County School of Practical Nursing. Dr. Frese's clinical experience includes Critical Care in Cardiac and Neuroscience, and he served as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Acute and Critical Care following completion of his MSN. He is an advocate for safety with successful evidence based-projects demonstrating improved patient outcomes, and instructed clinical faculty in de-escalation techniques as a certified Crisis Prevention Institute instructor.
