Before joining Georgetown full-time, Dr. Addo-Wallace was Director of Advanced Practice Nursing and Medical Director at Community Healthcare Network, a large federally qualified health center in New York City. She also served as Program Director for New York State’s first Nurse Practitioner Fellowship, a year-long program that trained new graduates to practice in underserved community health settings. Her leadership in clinical practice, quality improvement, and health equity has been recognized at both state and national levels, with honors such as the AANP State Award for Excellence and the Rosemarie Forstner Award from the Community Health Care Association of New York State. These awards underscore her enduring commitment to advancing health equity, supporting the development of the nurse practitioner workforce, and enhancing care delivery in marginalized communities.

As an alumna of Georgetown’s DNP program, Dr. Addo-Wallace brings firsthand knowledge of the student experience. Her scholarly project, Impact of Education for Evidence-Based Screening Mammography in Black Women Aged 40–49, was recognized as an exemplar among the 2023 cohort, and she was selected to deliver the student address at the 2023 Tropaia Awards Ceremony.

In her role as Assistant Director for DNP Scholarly Projects, she collaborates with students and faculty mentors to guide the design, implementation, evaluation, and dissemination of doctoral scholarly projects. She leads the enhancement of seminar courses that support the scholarly project process.
