Erin Finch

Erin Finch (pronouns she/her) is dual certified as a CNM & WHNP-BC who practices in Orlando, Florida. She believes every person deserves inclusive, equitable and trauma informed care and that midwives and nurse practitioners provide that care. 

She serves as adjunct faculty for Georgetown University’s WHNP (Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) & Nurse-Midwifery/WHNP Programs. She is passionate about supporting new midwives and WHNP’s and has done so most recently as the Clinical Faculty Director, Lead Clinical Faculty Advisor and adjunct faculty (OCI & Sync instructor). 

Erin is an active member of the American College of Nurse Midwives and began serving as a student representative to the student section while attending her graduate program. She currently serves as the Chair of the Scholarship Committee. As chair of the Scholarship Committee she has organized and awarded yearly student scholarships and led efforts to develop a scholarship program for students of color. She has also served as chapter chair & secretary, affiliate secretary, and on the national planning committee. She is currently the Editorial Assistant for Midwifery & Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Certification Review Guide (6th Ed.) to be published in 2023.

She practiced full-scope midwifery and is currently a laborist at Winnie Palmer Hospital, a part of the Arnold Palmer Medical Center, since 2014. Prior to midwifery and WHNP, Erin was a RN in high-risk obstetrics and in community-based education for students and patients with autism. She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with both a BS in Psychology and a BSN in Nursing. She received an MS from Georgetown University in NM/WHNP. She is currently enrolled as a Post Master's DNP candidate the Georgetown University with an interest in obstetrical provider burnout and maternity care outcomes.
