How do we facilitate learning through significant experiences?
How do we prepare the next generation of healthcare workers who are equipped to uncover and address inequity in all of its forms?
My research interests are also focused on the seen and unseen determinants of health affecting the childbearing and "mothering". Of particular interest is exploring how maternal and infant health is understood through the lens of life experience. Research methodologies used include Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) exploring cultural influences on sexual health and supporting community mothering practices.
