Debora Dole, PhD, CNM, FACNM received her BSN and MSN from the Medical University of South Carolina and a PhD in Nursing research from the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Dole is an educator and administrator experienced in program development, curricular design, pedagogical approaches that support student led inquiry and emancipatory learning. Dr. Dole has led efforts to redesign online learning modules for the APRN distance programs that encourage a constructivist approach in the development of more formative and reflective learning experiences. Dr. Dole’s exploration of innovative ways to integrate adaptive learning into screen based simulation is central to expanding immersive learning to distance education students and promoting intra/inter professional education that increases student engagement in the development of a call to social justice as nursing praxis.
