Roxanne Mirabal-Beltran Presents at NIH Clinical Center’s DEIA Lecture Series

(March 20, 2024) — Roxanne Mirabal-Beltran, PhD, an assistant professor of nursing, presented findings on her Wash and Spin to Health (WASH) work at the NIH Clinical Center’s DEIA Lecture Series on March 11. WASH is a community-based participatory research project to facilitate access to health and health education in underserved communities. WASH specifically aims to address limited reproductive health literacy by employing laundromats as hubs for health outreach. Mirabal-Beltran discussed her work involving the creation of a community advisory board that informed WASH and discussed early results and future directions.
