Penn Nursing to Honor Roberta Waite, EdD, RN, with Outstanding Alumni Award

(May 13, 2024) — The University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing has selected Roberta Waite, EdD, RN, dean of Georgetown’s School of Nursing, as the 2024 recipient of the Outstanding Alumni Award, which recognizes a Penn Nursing graduate who is a leader with an outstanding career that has advanced the profession of nursing.

Waite obtained her MSN in psychiatric mental health nursing and then completed a postdoctoral research fellowship focused on vulnerable women, children and families at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She earned her BSN and EdD in higher education administration leadership from Widener University in Chester, Pa.
