Marea Selected as 2024 Health Disparities Research Institute Scholar

(August 9, 2024) — Christina X. Marea, PhD, MA, FACNM, an assistant professor of nursing, was selected by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities as a 2024 Health Disparities Research Institute (HDRI) Scholar.

Marea attended the 2024 HDRI in early August, hosted by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities. The goal of the HDRI is to provide participants with a broad overview of the leading issues facing minority health and health disparities research enhance grantsmanship abilities. Activities included lectures, seminars, interactive sessions, a mock grant review session and small group discussions with leading scientists and NIH staff.
