Margaret Schatz

Margaret joined the School of Nursing in 2024. She is a graduate of Drexel University where she earned her Master’s in Science of Nursing as a nurse leader in the faculty role. The focus of her master’s thesis was on recruiting and retaining under-represented populations in BSN programs. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University (N 95). Her teaching experience has focused on undergraduate foundational nursing studies. This includes Fundamentals, Assessment, Med-Surg, and Pharmacology in didactic, clinical, and laboratory settings. With a focus on authentic deep learning pedagogy, she values encouragement, engagement, and support of the learning process for future nurses.

With over 28 years of bedside experience in various types of Emergency Nursing, Margaret has a broad knowledge base and is a life-long learner.
