The online application for this program will be available only to current applicants to the Accelerated Second Degree BSN and Direct Entry to Advanced Practice Nursing Programs at Georgetown. Applicants will be sent a link via email which will allow for completion and submission of the online Georgetown University Scholars at Washington Hospital Center application one week after the application deadline passes for the Accelerated Second Degree BSN and Direct Entry to Advanced Practice Nursing Programs. Application access will not be available until this time. The NHS Office of Admissions and Outreach anticipates the following tentative decision release dates and deadlines.

The Georgetown University Scholars at Washington Hospital Center online application will require the following essay and release of all Accelerated Second Degree BSN and Direct Entry to Advanced Practice Nursing application materials.
The Georgetown University Scholars at Washington Hospital Center scholarship is offered to candidates who demonstrate potential to be successful in the second-degree nursing program and to contribute to quality nursing care at the Washington Hospital Center. The selection committee wants to read about how your personal strengths demonstrate these potentials. The essay must include the following three components:
A. Describe a challenge you faced which demonstrates how your personal strength and determination made a difference to others or helped you to understand others.
B. Describe the lesson you learned from this challenge.
C. Describe how the lesson learned might transfer to your studies in the second-degree nursing program and, later, in your nursing practice with the vulnerable patients in your care at the Washington Hospital Center.
You will cut and paste your responses into the online application form provided to applicants by email. Some formatting will be lost (font style, text size, etc.).
